Hey guys!  Long time no see(/chat/read/write?)!

Tuesday I went to the Ed Sheeran concert I've been talking about since April.  It was absolutely incredible.  Rudimental (a band from South Africa) opened and they were great.  I'd never heard of them before and I'm glad I got to because I've had them on repeat all day.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So. Good.

I read this at every moment I had and was completely hooked the entire time. I love the concept of telling half a story through emails exchanged between coworkers. I found I felt like I knew Jennifer and Beth more than I did Lincoln.

I actually enjoyed this more than Fangirl + Eleanor & Park which I didn't anticipate at all seeing as it's not YA.

Characters
This book featured 3 main characters: Jennifer and Beth, whom you learn about mainly through their e-mails back and forth, and Lincoln. The characters are all very strong and 3 dimensional. There's evident character development from the beginning to the end with all three mains. Jennifer decides to make a huge change in her life, one she was dreading at the beginning, but she later decides she would really like. Beth moves on from her current relationship that's gone dry. Lincoln finally moves out and moves on.

Plot
Both predictable and unpredictable, the plot was great. There was a definite climax as well as rising action leading up to it. There weren't any slow or incredibly boring sections- the whole thing really kept me captivated.

Overall I really enjoyed this novel and can't wait to read Landlines

DIY Thursday: Recycled Bank

So, I've taken up the "hobby" of changing trash into cash!  All I use are old pop bottles (or juice cartons), duct tape, and scissors.  So, today I'm going to tell you how to do this, too!

Step 1.
Take your recyclable of choice and cut off the top so it is perfectly rectangular, square, or even cylindrical.

Step 2.
Start covering with duct tape of choice until fully covered, even the top where the hole is.

Step 3.
Cut a money-sized slit in the top, to make it a bank.  You're done!  The finished product should look like one of these:

Eight Education Essentials

New here?  Follow us on Bloglovin'!
I started school again yesterday.  My independent work took me maybe 3 hours.  It's kind of annoying having nothing to do once I'm finished, but I'm sure I'll be a lot busier and far more stressed out once dance starts.  But, for now I'll spend my down time cleaning and reading.

Today, I want to share with you my top 8 needs for back to school.

Like a pen, but erasable & doesn't wind up smearing all over your hand.  Not having to deal with pencil sharpening is definitely a plus as well.

I can use this app to organize my assignments, get reminders about due dates & class times, and keep track of test dates.  It's great to have everything in one place.

These are my ultimate pen crush.  They write so smoothly and the fun colors are great for note taking!

I. Love. This.  I use it all the time- my walls are practically covered in it.  I love edging pages in notebooks with it or using it to create tabs.  Great for organization and extremely cute.

These are great for marking pages in text books as well as notebooks.  I'll definitely be using these when we read The Great Gatsby later this semester.

These confused me a lot at first.  They still kind of confuse me.  I first discovered them in drivers' ed, but now I love them.  I'm not a huge fan of capping highlighters since I'll probably just need it again in 30 seconds, but these never dry out so I don't have to worry.

7. Wall Calendar
These are great.  A dry erase one is best, but anyone will work.  While it's nice to have calendars on your phone and computer, sometimes actually seeing it helps.

I can barely last an hour with my hair down.  It doesn't matter how long I spend straightening it, I always get annoyed with it in the way and I need to pull it up.  I always like to keep one of these hair ties on my wrist for those situations.  The plus?  They look cute as a bracelet too!

Cassi's September Goals

New here?  Follow us on Bloglovin'!

Hey guys!  I hope you had a nice holiday.  Mine was pretty uneventful, but I enjoyed my last day before school started.  I have an actual plan this month, so I really believe we will be posting regularly this month.  Too bad it can't count for school.

August Goals

1. Post more often!  I was supposed to start that this month, but with drivers’ ed daily I’ve had absolutely zero motivation.  HAHAHA nope.  This didn't happen at all.  It's going to happen this month for sure, though.

2. Drink more water.  My face is breaking out really bad and it had been clear throughout July.  Although there are many factors that have changed, I’m hoping this will help.  I have been drinking more water, but that doesn't really mean much since I spent most of July on Arnold Palmers.

3. Start my prep work for school.  Scantron opens soon for me and I can start getting organized so the beginning of September won’t be as stressful.  Yup- I finished both scantrons and got everything clean and organized so I have space to do my school work.

4. Stretch and continue my ab workouts.  July was great with 8 hours of dance, 4 days a week, for 4 weeks, but I’ve kind of taken a break.  It was nice, but it’s a good idea to get back into shape for when classes begin again.  I have had absolutely zero motivation to do this.  I stretched probably twice.

September Goals

1. DRINK MORE WATER.  Definitely continuing this one.  I'll aim for 6 glasses a day to start and move toward 8 as it become attainable.  I need to be especially careful once dance starts so I don't get dehydrated.

2. Abs abs abs.  Continue my daily ab workouts once I complete my school work.  Gotta get that 6 pack.

3. Stay on track.  Make sure I am on track for all my course work daily as well as all the blog stuff.  Being ahead would be best.
