How old do you feel?

I'd say I feel right about my true age (28). I'm a working mother of a one year old, married for 2 years, work full time and still manage to find time for fun! 

When did you start your blog?

I started it in August of 2013, so not too long ago. It's a work in progress!

Why did you start blogging?

I had been reading a bunch of other people's blogs for years (mostly about kids and documenting their lives plus also blogs about the subscription boxes I was getting) and loved the idea and decided I wanted to document my life as well. People told me I already shared too much on Facebook so figured this would be a more appropriate outlet. (Although not sure my FB posting has reduced any lol)

Is there a story behind your blog name?

My husband actually came up with it. I wasn't too sure I liked it at first but got a couple of people's opinions and they thought it sounded cute and witty (which is what I was going for) so I decided to go with it!

Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?

Mostly my daughter, travels and fun times with family and friends and running! 

What's your current job & what would be your dream job?

I currently work as a Subcontract Manager at a major defense contractor. It's not something I even knew existed before I landed an internship at the company while in college but it's an awesome job. I get to spend my day making deals with someone else's money and then making sure others do their job to support the warfighter! I don't know what my dream job would be, probably a dolphin trainer. That's always something I thought would be super cool to do! 

If your life was made into a movie, who would play you and what songs would be featured on the sound track?
I'd love to say Reese Witherspoon would play me because she's my favorite actress and we're both blonde hair/blue eyes so she must be my doppelganger actress right? As far as the music, there would be a ton of hip hop from my teens years, pop/dance from my college/early 20 and  a good amount of country for my life as an working/married woman! With the all time theme song being "the Time (dirty bit)" by Black Eyed Peas.

Meet Linda

Today, I'd like to introduce you to Linda of My Life? Really!.  She is so nice and always an active participant of Five Little Grins!  It's great to see her link up each week :)

What's your name?

Linda Cassidy and I live in Ottawa, Ontario

How old do you feel?

Most times I feel like I am still in my 30's. although when I do something stupid or embarrassing I feel like I am still 12, and then sometimes when I get up in the morning I fell 80. I will actually be 50 on January 31st ( good lord I still remember when that seemed so very old)

When did you start your blog?

Technically I started it back in 2008 but only made one post, then I resumed it again in 2012 for about a month.  I started really going full tilt in August 2013, I consider my Blogversary August 15, 2013

Why did you start blogging?

Originally it was going to be a diet/exercise blog, then it was going to be an outfit/shoe blog because I was cluttering up my Instagram then I just wanted it to be a bit about all aspects of my life and what I think.

Is there a story behind your blog name?

It started as This is my life? Really and I shortened it to My Life? Really and it was just supposed to be an impact statement that this is really me and my life, no fibs, no fake stories , no edited pictures, just ma and all the awesomeness I feel happens in my life.

What are some of the blogs you read every day?

Living in Yellow, Two Thirds Hazel, Not like a Lamb, Venus trapped in Mars, Story of my Life, the Freckled Fox, Because Shauna said so, Because of Jackie Back East Blonde,  there are more but these are some of my very favourite ones and they all are what I one day hope to be

What's your current job & what would be your dream job?

I am living my dream job actually.  I am an Exclusions and Essential Services Officer with the Public Service Alliance of Canada, the largest public Sector Union in Canada. I negotiate agreements with employers on what services are essential during strikes as well as which employees should be management.  I use to be a union politician and now I get paid ( very well) to do something that I use to volunteer to do.  Plus I have awesome benefits and loads of vacation. My spouse also works for the Union. ( up till 18 months ago we worked for the same component doing the exact same job and I loved it). The only downside to my current position is I no longer work directly with Kent and I miss that part.

What's the weather like where you live?  Would you rather be somewhere warmer or colder? 

It is cold and snowy and yes I would much rather bu somewhere warm and sunny.

I love snow for Christmas but that to me is from the 23-26

WE have been having a really cold and snowy winter not as bad as 2008 but close. Pictures show our house during the winter of 2008 and the other is my yard in the summer, guess which I prefer.

Most days, 27. 

When did you start your blog?
We started our family blog in 2011, a short while after we got married. 

Why did you start blogging?
I wanted to keep in touch with long distance family and friends, keep a record of our lives together, but as I learned to do more I wanted to share more!

Is there a story behind your blog name?
Not really, we're the Workmans, and this is our life. 

What are some of the blogs you read every day?

I read so many blogs through bloglovin, but some favorites are House of Smiths, IheartOrganizing, Gala Darling, and A Beautiful Mess.

What's your current job & what would be your dream job?
I actually do work my dream job, however its not my dream position. I prep patients for surgery, at the exact surgical  center where my dream of working in healthcare started. 

What do you look forward to most about the holiday season?
All the holiday baking with family and friends! Its the best!

Why did you start blogging?

I used to blog as a teenager back in the Xanga days about my every day life. I was one of the "alternative" kids and that was one of the things we all did to communicate. I've always been super into computers and writing so it just made sense for me. When my Xanga fell on the wayside and I was really thinking about getting my magazine started, my dad suggested I start a blog for it. I didn't really get into posting regularly until this past year. I always felt like no one was reading, after getting into the Carabox Exchange and meeting other bloggers, I became hooked all over again! 

Is there a story behind your blog name?

One day in high school my best friend said "We are going to be Warrior Queens." She had just finished reading some self-help style books on dating and remaining independent while dating and it just stuck after that. We realized that it meant more than just in relationships, but in all of your life - being yourself.

What are some of the blogs you read every day?

Yours! Color Me Brave, By the Porchlight and Love is the Point. I try to read them every day, but I usually have to bunch it up. lol  

What's your current job & what would be your dream job?

Currently - and for the first time in a long time I can say I only have one job - I am a computer lab teacher! I LOVE IT. My dream job would be to start my own magazine (Warrior Queen). :)

What do you look forward to most about the holiday season?

All of the time I get to spend with my family. When I work more than one job, I don't get to see them too often. During the holidays I see them more ON the holidays and prepping for the holidays. In a couple of weeks we are making tamales at my aunt's house. I am so excited!
